Prototype of HighRoads (a Skyroads like game)

I would like to introduce my current (almost died on the hard drive) prototype "HighRoads" (working title only...). The game is currently heavily inspired by Skyroads, simply because I was addicted to it back then and there's nothing comparable at the moment, in my opinion.

The assets are all placeholders at the moment, although some are placed more nicely. I'm currently considering turning the art style very much towards Synthwave, but I'm not sure about that yet.

Please give me your honest feedback on the prototype, whether the game concept catches your interest, and how you might envision the game being better. Essentially, share anything that comes to mind.

Core Game Loop
Drive the track as fast as possible to achieve the best time (similar to Trackmania).

Current features
- 5 levels as prototypes with different features
- level selection via menu
- various "platforms" in the levels (Boost, Brake, Ice, Burn)
- local best time for the fastest time on each track


Controls (Keyboard; XBox 360)
Accelerate/Brake:       ↑/↓             ; RT/LT
Left/Right:                 ←/→           ; Left Stick
Jump:                      Space          ; A
Down:                      L-Shift          ; X
Roll:                          Q/E            ; LB/RB (currently without animation)
Reset:                        R              ; Left Middle Button
Main Menu:               ESC           ; Right Middle Button

The main menu can only be controlled with the mouse

très beau jeu, fonctionnel, avec quelques défauts de gameplay, début trop dur. On se demande pourquoi c'est gratuit ?

Thank you for your comment! The game is free because it is still in development and currently only a prototype for the game mechanics. The art style will probably change, and additional features and more content will be added in the future.
